We use both laser and computer numerical control machining to cut the wood.\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eStep 2: The wood stand is cut from pine. We use a table saw and a miter saw to cut each stand. The stand is made specifically for the poison apple wood sign. We want to make sure the sign fits securely in the stand.\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eSTEP 3: The wood is sanded and cleaned.\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eSTEP 4: We paint both sides of the sign – this is the base coat. The apple needs three coats of paint. Each coat of paint requires a wait time of at least 30 minutes.\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eSTEP 5: We use paint to add shading, highlights, and distressing to the entire apple.\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eSTEP 6: We wait.
